In this case study we show what the power of email marketing can be. One of our clients (WildcameraXL) was not yet doing email marketing himself, but saw the opportunities of this.

WildcameraXL in a Nutshell

WildcameraXL sells wildcamera’s that are used by hunters, security guards and individuals. The wild camera takes a picture / video when there is movement, this allows you to see, for example, which animals walk through your garden at night. The people who come to the website here mainly love animals and nature.

The objective was to take care of the entire email marketing and make sure that more revenue came out of it.

The analysis

Stijn's email marketing was not yet up to date. He did send a campaign here and there, but these were not optimized.

The solution

We helped Stijn optimize his email marketing with the associated A/B tests.

The result

The result is a satisfied customer where the email marketing is now running smoothly.

After we had the intake interview with Stijn from WildcameraXL, we started working straight away. They already had Klaviyo, so we didn’t have to do the integration.

We’ve put the first flows online and we have started sending the first campaigns. In month 2, we obviously didn’t know much about the customers yet, but we were still able to achieve some good results

The ‍set-up fase

During the ”Set-up phase” we set up the basic flows you need to have as a webshop. Think of a Welcome flow with corresponding pop-up, a browse abandonment flow, an abandoned cart flow, a customer thank you flow and several other crucial flows.

After setting these up, we start thinking with the customer about expanding the flows to improve the customer experience.

With this client, we only set up the first important flows to achieve this result. This already made great impact for the webshop.

Before helping Stijn, we first did a baseline measurement to see where we are currently and where we want to go.

This is how we found out that only 3% of our total sales came from email marketing. Here, of course, we could improve a lot. We managed to improve this number to 22% in the first month!

The revenue was divided between flow and campaign revenue. 8% came from flows and the remaining 14% came from campaigns. This way we found out that campaigns were very effective for this client.

Both the client and we are very happy with this result.
